Equality

Equal opportunities for women and men in science is a central concern of the Leibniz Association, which it has anchored in its statutes since 2008. Through various instruments, the Leibniz Association supports the institutes in their efforts to achieve this goal.

Furthermore, equality has also become an important part of applying for EU research funds (GEP, Horizon Europe).

In order to promote equal opportunities for women and men in MBI and to support employees in reconciling work and family life, the MBI has elected and appointed an Equal Opportunity Officer.

The legal status, the tasks and the scope of influence of the Equal Opportunity Officer are regulated in the Federal Equal Opportunities Act (BgleiG) § 16-23.
